Born in Chicago, to which she remained loyal her entire life, Charlotte Eiser died peacefully in Rosemead.

A true Woman of Valor, she was predeceased by her lifelong love and husband of more than fifty-five years, Joseph ("Dr. Joe"), with whom she moved to Los Angeles after World War II.

She was intelligent, caring, concerned, and connected to a wide-reaching network to the end. She felt a deep connection with Judaism and Jewish arts and culture, and while raising her family in Montebello, she became involved in the Sisterhood and leadership at Temple B'nai Emet.

A quintessential eclectic, she enjoyed the theater and ballet and filled the house and cars with classical and Broadway music.

She also was an avid reader of novels and newspapers who loved to do the daily Jumble puzzle and spot and submit vanity license plates for publication.

Charlotte volunteered for decades at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, Kiwanis Club of Monterey Park, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, and the American Association of University Women.

She rarely met anyone with whom she could not strike up a conversation and welcome into her ever-expanding family-at-large.

Charlotte is survived by children, Margot Eiser, Jay , and Elyse Eiser; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Eiser; grandchildren, Andrew Eiser, Raymond Matthew Eiser, Justin Eiser, and Beth (Scott) Sterling; and great-grandchildren, Miriam and Leah Sterling.

A funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Home of Peace Memorial Park in East Los Angeles.
