Sonia Gay Freeman Briggs, age 57, passed away at her home in Archer, Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Sonia was born February 17, 1958 in Rexburg, Idaho, a daughter to Paul Frank Freeman and Betty Wilson Freeman.
On February 6, 1981 she married Larry Dee Briggs in Sugar City.
She loved to bowl and won a few state championships in 1982 and 1983. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping and fishing, spending time with family and was always willing to take someone in and be their friend. She served in the lunch program at Archer Elementary school for several years and was a homemaker.
As a member of the LDS Church she served as a Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Dee Briggs; daughter, Chelsie Ann Briggs (Jeremy) Kelly; sons: Jason Paul Briggs, Jared Dee (Diana) Briggs and Brandon Briggs; sisters: Cindy Barney and Lori Freeman; brother, Brint (Vickie) Freeman; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Betty Freeman; and two brothers: Monte Freeman and Lane Freeman.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sutton Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street Rigby, and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Archer Ward LDS Chapel 201 West 8000 South, Rexburg.
