"Harry G. French, 79, of Schenevus, died Sunday night at the McDonough Nursing Home in Worcester, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. Funeral will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday in Potter Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Rev. Lynn H. Brown, pastor of the Schenevus Methodist Church, officiating. Masonic services will be held at the graveside in Schenevus Cemetery. Mr. French was born in Westford, November 24, 1873 the son of Leslie R. and Anne (Groff) French. He was engaged in farming for many years, but for the past 20 years he operated a sawmill business in Schenevus, retiring about one year ago. His entire life was spent in or near Schenevus and Westford. Mr. French had been a member of the Elk Creek Grange for 65 years and founded and organized the Schenevus GLF service store in 1925. He also was a member of the Schenevus Valley Lodge F. & A. M. No. 592 which he joined in 1917. Besides his wife, Grace Witt French, he is survived by two sons, Russell and Lewis, both of Schenevus; five grandchildren, Wayne, Gilbert, Richard and Gerald French of Schenevus, and Mrs. Gerald Russell of Westford; one great grandchild, James Russell of Westford; one niece, Mrs. Lynn Flint of Worcester, and one nephew, Fred L.
