Nida J."Tiny" Bills

Nida J. "Tiny" Bills, 80 of Connersville, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at the home of her son, Randy and Jane Bills.

She was born June 2, 1932 in Connersville, one of nine children to Elisha and Dora Fowler Gabbard.

On December 31, 1949, she was married to Richard T. Bills of Milroy, Indiana at First Baptist Church of Connersville; Mr. Bills died on December 17, 1990.

She was employed at the State Hospital in Richmond as a nurse's aide, retiring from there in 1998. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Connersville at the time of her death. She was a devoted homemaker and, in her leisure, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and expressing her views.

Survivors include three sons, Randy T. Bills and his wife Jane of Connersville, Rickie D. Bills and his wife Diana of Richmond, Indiana and Kenneth Raymond Bills of Cambridge City, Indiana, four grandchildren, Thomas Bills and his wife Katie, Terri Cavins and her husband Chris, both of Connersville, Joy Bills and fiancé Joe Craft of Richmond, Indiana and Kendra Bills and fiancé Chris Clarkof Connersville, nine great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Vola Elsrod of Richmond, Indiana, Olla Houghland of Connersville and Colletta Willett of New Palestine, Indiana; she was also blessed with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vida Moore and Lottie Veron Newton, and two brothers, Lester Maupin and Raymond Steele.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Russell, officiating; burial will be in Dale Cemetery – family and friends may call at the Funeral Home from 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday.
