Born on April 22, 1926, in Lawrenceburg, the daughter of the late Belvy Gabbard and Susan (Barret) Gabbard. Married Russell Adams on Sept. 16, 1945, and he preceded her in death.
A homemaker and attended Bethel Worship Center. She enjoyed watching Jimmy Swagger, the 700 Club, and anything Christian on TV. She had a giving heart, always giving more than her 10 percent to Christian radio stations and organizations.
Survivors son, James Adams daughters Phyllis "P.J." Holmes Linda Franks (William Helphemstine) Darlene Hoff and Barbara Turner sister Dorothy (Kenny) Farrel of grandchildren, Adah, Benjamin, Bradley, Eric, Nikki, Russtina, Jamie, Faith, Amanda, Stacy and Austin; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son Paul Adams, daughter Christine Adams and sister Ida Mae Sizemore.
Funeral Feb. 3, 2014, in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, with Pastor Gary Dalton officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Jonesboro.
