Norma Curtis Galbraith Anderson

Norma passed from this life surrounded by her family on October 29, 2003.

Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, age 91, was born October 16, 1912 to William Galbraith and Annie Pearl Curtis Galbraith Porter in Rexburg, Idaho. Married Reed Gerald Anderson, May 27, 1936, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Survived by son David (Doris) Anderson, Ernie Caudill; daughters Bethany (J R) Stewart, Barbara (Bob) Ekblad; brothers, Willard Galbraith, Chris (Shirley) Galbraith, Sister-in-law Jean Galbraith, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Jesse Porter, son, Dean Reed Anderson, Sisters Pearl (Clifford) Fowler, Mamie, Vera, and Beth Tibbitts, and Annie Elliott, brothers Cloyd, Wilkie, and Leland Galbraith, sister-in-law Mary Galbraith.

Norma was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions including, stake and ward YMMIA presidencies, primary presidency, and served a full-time genealogical mission. Norma volunteered as a patient advocate at Primary Children's Hospital, and at the Salt Lake Youth Detention Center for many years.

She worked for Naborhood Bakery for over 40 years. She loved to have her family and friends come to visit her and everyone she met became a part of her family. She was filled with the gift of charity.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2003 at 12:00 Noon in the Wells Ward Chapel 1990 S. 5th East. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing, Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wells Ward and Monday 11-11:45 am. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.

The family would like to thank Harmony Home Health Care, especially Jodi and Candi. Mom loved them and they loved Mom.
