Maria Alicia Renee, a native of Hernandez, New Mexico; was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Severito (D: 1973); parents Salomon and Veroniz Gallegos of Hernandez; 3 grandchildren: Billy Jo Archuleta (D: 1972), Lori Ann Archuleta (D: 1978), and Larry Maestas (D: 1986); great-granddaughter Anastasia Duran (D: 2009); and great-great-granddaughter Denise Archuleta (D: 2008).

Renee was survived by 9 sons: David Archuleta (wife Sheila) of Chamita, Kino Archuleta (wife Lena) of Medanales, Gary Archuleta (wife Greg) of Santa Fe, Kelly Archuleta of Medanales (companion Bernie Montoya), Jerry Archuleta (wife Lorraine) of La Puebla, Randy Archuleta (wife Yolanda) of Ohio, Bob Archuleta (wife Mary) of Medanales, Ronnie Archuleta of Alcalde, Tommy Archuleta of Medanales (companion Jean); 2 daughters: Frances Maestas (husband Leroy) of Abiquiu and Brenda Martinez (husband Julian) of Medanales; niece like a daughter, Rosalie Maestas of Chimayo; 3 sisters-in-law: Amada Gallegos of Chili, Eppie Archuleta of Terra Azul and Mela Vigil of El Llano; 30 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren; 2 god-daughters: Gladys Archuleta and Renee Torrez; and numerous other loving nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Renee married Severito in 1944. She was a very devoted Catholic and had a strong faith and was known to recite the Rosary for many people and friends in the community. Renee had an ultimate love for her family. They were always the center of her life. Renee belonged to the San Antonio Society in Medanales and was known to recite the rosary for many years.

Public visitation and Rosary were on May 23, 2013 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of Devargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A second rosary was recited on May 24, 2013 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Medanales. Mass of Christian burial was on May 25, 2103 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Medanales. Burial followed in the Medanales Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Christopher Archuleta, Leroy Maestas Jr., Jerry Archuleta, Gary Archuleta Jr., Jerry Archuleta Jr., Raymond Archuleta, Marcos Archuleta and Cody Martinez. Honorary pallbearers were all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
