SALEM - Lena Clara Apodaca-Gallegos is survived by her 7 children, Rachel, Rosemarie, Richard, Annette, Patricia, Solomon, and Angie. 21 grandchildren, including Consuelo and Phillip, 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Last but not least by her beloved chihuahua of eight years JoJo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Solomon S. Gallegos and Rafelita M. Gurule. She was born in Ignacio, Colorado and was the third born of 15 children. She will forever last in the hearts of her loved ones and always be remembered for her loving and welcoming atmosphere. She was the one who everybody went to for a place to stay, a warm meal, or shoulder to cry on. Everybody learned from Lena and a piece of her will always be with us, we will forever keep her alive with our memories and she will never be forgotten. Friends may view 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 12 at Restlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010 at New Beginnings Christian Center, 4675 Portland Rd. N.E. Salem, followed by a burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens, 201 Oak Grove Rd. N.W. Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Wells Fargo Bank to Lena Apodaca Memorial Fund.
