Louella was born may 27, 1928 in Hillsboro, NM to Ramona Rascon and Tomas Gallegos. She was raised and lived there until she met the love of her life Jose Rios Arrellin. They moved to Santa Clara(Central), NM where they made their home for the next 57 years. She was a communicant of Santa Clara Catholic Church. She made tortillas for many years, first working at Mi Ranchito for 15 years and then out of her home for the next 20 years. She was known to all her customers as the Tortilla Lady, and she also would babysit in her home. She loved to sing. One of her favorite things to sing was Las Mañanitas.
