Our dad and grandfather came for his beautiful wife, Louella Arrellin, to start their new journey together once again, on Saturday, January 22, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Our Louella Gallegos Arrellin of Santa Clara, NM passed away peacefully at her daughter Lucy's home in Tucson, AZ.

Visitation will begin at 6 pm on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Baca's Funeral Chapels followed by the prayer vigil and rosary at 7 pm recited by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga. The Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10 am on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Robert Becerra officiating. The rite of committal will follow at Ft. Bayard National Cemetery.

Louella was born may 27, 1928 in Hillsboro, NM to Ramona Rascon and Tomas Gallegos. She was raised and lived there until she met the love of her life Jose Rios Arrellin. They moved to Santa Clara(Central), NM where they made their home for the next 57 years. She was a communicant of Santa Clara Catholic Church. She made tortillas for many years, first working at Mi Ranchito for 15 years and then out of her home for the next 20 years. She was known to all her customers as the Tortilla Lady, and she also would babysit in her home. She loved to sing. One of her favorite things to sing was Las Mañanitas. If it was your birthday you knew you were going to get a phone call early in the morning and she was still making calls as sick as she was; she always remembered.
