Mrs. Leon L. Calvert
Dies of Pneumonia
At Home Here Saturday Morning
After an Illness of
Three Weeks.
Mrs. Clara B. Calvert,aged 40 years, wife of County Clerk, Leon L. Calvert, died at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at her home on Gano Avenue. Mrs. Calvert had been ill with flu for three weeks;and developed pneumonia several days before she died.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two young sons, Leon, Jr., and Ben Samuel Calvert, her mother, Mrs John Games; a sister, Mrs Lewis Mefford, of Windfall, Indiana and a brother Sam T. Games, of Long Run.
Funeral services were held at the grave in the Masonic cemetery, Stamping Ground Sunday afternoon. Dr. W.W. Stout, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Georgetown officiated.
The pallbears were Everett Breen, Charles R. Murphy, Raymond Murphy, Brack Murphy, W.O. Murphy, Elbert Murphy.
