OKLAHOMA CITY
David was born May 26, 1939, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Juanita and Delbert Gann. He passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014, after an extended illness. David married Patricia Moad on March 18, 1961, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. To this union, four children were born. David had a long career in carpentry starting in his youth. He retired in 1995. David enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his friends. He loved spending time with his family, reading the newspaper to keep up with current events and working crossword puzzles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Sandra Johnson. He is survived by his wife, of the home; his three children, David Randall and wife Sherri; Lori Gray; Rebecca Gray and husband Mark, all of Oklahoma City; his brother, Gilbert Gann and wife Judi, of Wichita, Kansas; his grandchildren, Steven Gray and wife Shana, of Oklahoma City; Meaghan Johnson, of Oklahoma City; April Olguin and husband Josh, of Calera; Michael Johnson, of Oklahoma City; Elizabeth Gray, of Oklahoma City; Amelijah Tanner, of Oklahoma City; and Jacob Gann, of Oklahoma City. David is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Jamir Dehdarani and Aydyn Olguin; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Integris Hospice House and the Integris Hospice Services for their support and care of David. The care and compassion they showed was invaluable, not only to David, but to the whole family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Integris Hospice House and Integris Hospice Services. Services for David Eugene Gann will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Demuth Funeral Home in Oklahoma City at 2 p.m.
