RETHA BALLARD, 89, Hamilton, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2004, at the Sunset Manor in Guin. Born on January 13, 1915, in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Minnie Lee Shotts Gann. She worked with the Department of Interior.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Ballard.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 27, 2004, at 10 a.m. from the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Hamilton City Cemetery. Bill Ausborn was the officiating minister.
Survivors include her sister - Etta Warf, Nashville, TN.; brother - John Gann, Huntsville; god-child - Retha Lockhart, Sterling, VA.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
