Helen Antonia Routh, 69, of Visalia died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999. She was a walnut grader for 20 years,
She was born in Visalia. She was a member of the Venice Hill Valley Tribes Chapter of the California Indian Education Association. She did a lot of volunteer work. She was a member of the California Indian Basket Weavers Association. She was a very giving person and always there to help people in need.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Hernandez of Tulare and Rosalie Garcia of Exeter; three sons, Leslie Garcia of Farmersville, David Routh Jr. of Visalia and 1st Sgt. Andrew Routh of Fort Benning, Ga.; a sister, Melchor Garcia of Exeter; four brothers, John Garcia of Dunlap, Howard Garcia of Farmersville, Joe Garcia of Seattle, Wash., and William Garcia of Indianapolis, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to noon Friday at Hamilton Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, Tulare. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hamilton Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, Tulare. Burial will be at a later date.
