Edward Allen Garcia, 56, passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2007 at a Visalia hospital.
Edward graduated from Hanford High School in 1969. He worked as a mechanic for Boswell for 23 years and also the City of Visalia for five years. He was an avid bowler and captain on the bowling team. Edward and his wife traveled to Pismo Beach in their fifth wheel and in recent years a cruise to Alaska and a trip to China. He also enjoyed cross stitching and loved his family very much.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; daughters, Tiffany Lindley (Brian) of Twentynine Palms, Cassie Nielsen (Bruce) and Andi Vasconcellos of Visalia; his parents Manuel and Bernita Garcia of Hanford; brothers, Jerry Garcia (Wilma) of South Gate, CAlif., and David Garcia (Cathy) of Hanford, a sister Juanita Grieger (Ron) of Ridgecrest; grandchildren, Cheyenne Mekenzie Nielsen, Johnathan Allen Vasconcellos, Wyatt Austing Jackson-Vasconcellos, and Morgan Elizabeth johnson.
Edward is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, father-in-law. Thomas Shepherd, sister-in-law Mickey Parish; and Godmother, Laura Rose.
Rememberances may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Miller Memorial Chapel of Visalia, 1120 W. Goshen Ave.
