Mrs. Mallie Baxter, 85, of Steele, died Sept. 6, 1994 near Steele from injuries received in a traffic accident.
Born Dec. 14, 1908, she was the daughter of Ben and Florence Jerrolds Garrard. She was a member of the Steele Church of Christ and the widow of William A. Baxter.
She is survived by a son, Joe Ben Baxter, of Steele;
A sister, Mazzie Garrard, of Savannah, Tenn.;
Two grandchildren, Joe Ben Baxter, III and Fonda Baxter And a great-grandchild, Joe Ben Baxter, III.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hardin and Kit Garrard; and three sisters, Lida and Edna Garrard and Martha Bain.
Burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
