Mrs. Garrigues was 85 years of age when she passed awy. She lived in Radnor and passed away at home.She was a hospital volunteer and daughter of a Philadelphia mayor.Mrs. Garrigues grew up in a Georgian-revival mansion in Overbrook Farms. Her grandfather - John Weaver, mayor of Philadelphia from 1903 to 1907 - had purchased the house in 1904 from the estate of its orginal owner, Robert Pattison, a two-time governor of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Garrigues graduated from Springside School. Until her marriage to Samuel Garrigues in 1959, she worked in the publicity department of the John Wanamaker dept. store in Philadelphia.Her husband was an engineer for the Budd Co., and she accompanied him on business trips around the world. He died in 1993.Her niece Allison Mar said her aunt enjoyed bridge and gardening - especially cultivating orchids - and collected miniature furniture. Mrs. Garrigues is survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
