COVINGTON, MRS. T. E. nee SARAH GARRISON died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1982, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 89, a native of Denham Springs and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blve., from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Religious services at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Perry Webb. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by three daughters, Mrs. G. D. (Barbara) Holden and Mrs. A. J. (Dorothy) Blackwell, both of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Emile (Shirley) Rivette, New Orleans; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, James M. Garrison and Lucy Achord Garrison, Denham Springs; husband, Thomas E. Covington; a son, Roy Cline Covington; four brothers, Levi Garrison, J. E. "Pet" Garrison, William Alphaeus Garrison and M. Ernest Garrison; and a sister, Mrs. J. E. (Bertha) Barnett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a Gold Star member of Naomi chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
