Catherine V. Gaughan, 90, of Main Street, Sugar Notch, died Thursday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Sugar Notch, May 27, 1902, she was the daughter of the late John and Bridget Kane Gaughan. She was a member of St. Charles Church, Sugar Notch, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by brothers, John, Patrick and Michael; sisters, Nora Gaughan and Mary Williams. Surviving are sisters, Jule, with whom she resided; Sr. Mary Clarella, R.S.M., Mercy Center, Dallas; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Charles Church, Sugar Notch.
