In April 1950 Mrs. William Bauer of Manorville was described in an article in County Review as receiving a visitor, Al Gosselin of Jackson Heights, calling on her on Saturday, and finding her in much better health but still under the care of a nurse.
In June of 1950, Mrs. William Bauer moved from her farm house in Manorville to her modern bungalow on Bauer Avenue, Manorville.
Katherine Bauer, of Manorville, who died October 26, left over $5,000 in personal and over $5,000 in real property. Paul Agnette, friend and executor, is given a 12 1/2-acre farm at Manorville "in appreciation of his kindness and help to me and my late husband, William Bauer." The residue passes to William Wajda, stepson, Patchogue.
