SYLVIA - Wreatha Dale Blasdel, 85, of Sylvia, died March 7, 1999, at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born Jan. 25, 1914, at Big Square, Texas, the daughter of Thomas W. and 0. Pearl Wyer Geist. She was a 1932 graduate of Plevna High School and attended Sterling College. A lifelong Sylvia resident, she was a bookkeeper for Doskocil's, retiring in 1974.

She belonged to Plevna Community Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 25 years, the Women's Fellowship Group and Order of Eastern Star St. John Chapter.

On Aug. 9, 1936, she married John T. Blasdel at Plevna. He died May 16, 1990.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sharon K. Jordan, Glen Elder, and P. Joan Hutchins, Gal- latin, Tenn.; three brothers, Virgil Geist, Hutchinson, Edward Geist, Newton, and Arnold E. Geist, Salina; two sisters, Eula Kittle, Satanta, and Jean Baker, Buhler; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Walker.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Plevna Community Church, with Dr. Alva F. Goossen presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, all at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to the church or to the Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund, both in care of the mortuary.
