Mrs. Lizzie A. Bender, widow of Kinzer Bender, died of cerebral hemorrhages after three months illness on Saturday evening at her home near Giest station, on the New Holland pike, west of Mechanicsburg. She was a member of the Leola M. E. church. The following children survive: Alice, wife of Joseph N. Mohn, Rothsville; Lottie, wife of Clayton Ravegum, Akron; Mrs. Ida V. Roberts, Philadelphia; Ellis G., of Highrock; I. [sic - J.] Miles, of Woodbine; Aaron K., Lancaster, R. D. 5, and two sisters, Mary, wife of O. S. Eckert, Eden; and Lottie, wife of David S. Book, Lampeter, also survive. All funeral services were held in the Leola M. E. church on Wednesday, with interment in the cemetery at Heller's Salem Reformed church."
