Mrs. Boggs was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for 31 years before she retired. She earlier had been employed at the Morrell Packing Plant for eight years.
She was born June 20, 1915, in Volga, Russia, the daughter of John and Barbara Beier Geist.
She came to Topeka in 1922. Mrs. Boggs was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Women of Moose Lodge No. 555 and the Goodyear Retirees Club.
She married Chester A. Boggs on Sept. 3, 1949, in Topeka. He died Feb. 10, 1993.
Mrs. Boggs also was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Geist. Survivors include a sister, Catherine Burghart, Topeka; and a stepbrother, Philip Rolsing, Topeka.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Boggs will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church Building Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
