Crystal Archibald
STATESVILLE - Crystal Gemayel Archibald, 79, of Statesville, died early Monday morning, Oct. 28, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Archibald was born Oct. 3, 1934, the daughter of the late Andrew John and Honnie G. Gemayel of Salisbury. She married Albert Joseph Archibald on Feb. 16, 1953. She graduated from Boyden High School in Salisbury and attended Lenoir-Rhyne University.
She was an active member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville and worked for the First Presbyterian Church Pre-School and the Iredell County Council on Aging.
She is survived by her children, John Archibald and wife Nicole of Durham, Patti Waters and husband Harold of Greer, S.C., Ann Cain and husband Charles of High Point, Joe Archibald and wife Marian of Statesville, Kathy Rainwater and husband Keith of Columbia, S.C., and Jim Archibald and wife Nellie of Wilkesboro; and grandchildren, Kate Archibald of Durham, Joe Waters of Greenville, S.C., Andy Waters and wife Lindsey of Greenville, S.C., Olivia, Claire and Charlotte Cain of High Point, Matt and Jack Archibald of Statesville, Will and Molly Rainwater of Columbia, S.C., and Mary Frances and Pat Archibald of Wilkesboro.
Service and Visitation: The funeral mass will be Saturday, Nov. 2, at noon, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville. Visitation will be Friday evening, 6-8 p.m., at Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joe Waters, Andy Waters, Will Rainwater, Matt Archibald, Jack Archibald and Pat Archibald.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Iredell County Council on Aging/Home Delivered Meals Program, 344 E. Front St, Statesville, NC 28677.
