Mrs. Joy Giles Rowland, 28, was the wife of the rector of St. Andrews Episcopal Church at Breckenridge, Texas. Miss Giles lived in San Antonio and Comfort as a child. She graduated from Comfort High School and the University of Texas.
Services were held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with Rev. Frances Car, rector of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Graham and Rev. Warner Washington, rector of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church at Eastland officiating. A second service was held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in San Antonio with Rector Rev. Harold Gosnell officiating.
Survived by her husband; two sons - John Wilson Rowland and Mark Giles Wilson; two daughters - Mary Muriel Rowland and Elizabeth Joy Rowland; her father; two brothers - Alfred Giles and Geoffrey Giles; one half-sister - Edith Giles.
