FORT WORTH - Madolyn Giles Brown, 68, a pre-K teacher, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at a local hospital.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Madolyn Brown was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Atlanta, Ga. She started her long term career as a child development teacher with Mrs. H.B. Brous in the first private school in Fort Worth, Texas, and later became a director and first executive director of the Clayton Child, Before and After School Care Inc. in association with the Fort Worth ISD and contributed to the progress and growth of this organization making it what it is today. She was owner and director of the Daisy School Learning Center. She was the current president of the Penelope Group of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth and was a member of the Garden Club of Texas and the Monday Morning Book Review.

Survivors: Husband, Jack Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gary Cox of Granbury; grandson, B.J. Cox; and granddaughter, Jeri Jo Cox.
