Dan Gilmore
MILES CITY, MT. --- Dan Gilmore was a bucking horse rider and contestant in early day rodeo completions.
Mr. Gilmors was 82, when he died Tuesday in Holy Rosary Hospital.
He was also a member of the Range Raiders and the Elks Club.
Born in Chadron, NE. he was a son of Michael and Julia Gilmore.
In 1899 he settled with his parents in the Basey area.
In 1907 they homesteaded on the Mizpah. the family ranch for 50 years.
During World War I he served in the Army.
In 1929 he married Bernice "Fairy" Peaslee Thompson in Minneapolis, MN.
The couple ranched on the Mizpah until 1956 when they moved into Miles City.
His wife died last year.
Survivors include his sister, Marie Liming of Broadus, MT.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in J.E. Graves Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Custer County Cemetery, Miles City, MT.
