Graduated from Jamestown High School and attended Armour Tech in Chicago, Cook, IL and ND State in Fargo. He returned to J-town to operate the Glaspell Dairy on the family farm southeast of town.
He married Elizabeth Madeline Wilson in J-town 28 Aug 1912
She was born 18 Oct 1891 in LaCrosse, LaCrosse, WI dtr of Cyrus Wilson (wife not known) who were born and married in England. Cyrus changed his name from MacWilson upon emigrating to the US.
Elizabeth attended school in Minneapolis, MN, came to J-town and worked as a salesperson for Ben Orlandy Dry Goods Co. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
They retired from the dairy business in 1954 and lived with son Samuel in Jamestown.
Elizabeth died 9 Oct 1975 and is buried with her husband here.
They had 2 children: Bernard Gordon b 19 Oct 1915, and Samuel Lyter b 17 Jan 1918 both in Jamestown. Samuel died 24 June 1990 (no loc).
