Mrs. Mayme Frazier Burns passed away at her home in Syracuse December 4th, 1939 after several months sickness. Born in the town of Pitcairn August 25, 1879, daughter of the late Betsey Rice and Alwyn A. Gleason. She has resided in Syracuse for the past 30 years.
Survived by her husband, Robert A. Burns; Mrs. Donald Thompson, Potsdam; two step-daughters, Mrs. Louis Sundemann and Mrs. Albert Hobbs, both of Syracuse, one uncle, Charles Gleason, Gouverneur, two aunts, Mrs. John Wilson, Gouverneur and Mrs. Geo Nettles, Carthage; besides several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Prayer services from her late home 297 Howard Street, Wednesday, December 6th at 9AM. The Rev. Dr. Edward L. Keler Officiating. Funeral services from Gouverneur First Baptist Church at 2pm. Rev. Earl Shanley officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
