DEATH OF A STADIUM SALESMAN

Manny Gluck, who never missed a day in 50 years of hawking programs at Yankee Stadium, witnessing such moments as Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series and Roger Maris' record-breaking 61st homer, has died.

Emanuel "Manny" Gluck, age 65, beloved husband of Sharyn (Primavera) Gluck, of Milford, died suddenly of a heart attack at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He was born to the late Nathan and Rose Gluck. Manny graduated from City College in New York with a degree in Education. He also held multiple postgraduate degrees and certificates. He started with the New York Board of Education in 1961 and retired as a Principal in 1992. From there he worked as a principal in both the New Britain and Willington school systems in Connecticut. Most recently, he worked as a consultant to the New York City school system. Additionally, he worked for many years in support of the New York Giants, Jets, Mets, and Yankees; he was in his 51st year as a vendor at Yankee Stadium where he had achieved the #1 Vending Position. He was an avid sports fan who loved being with his family and friends, traveling, casino gambling, and his work. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, David and Suzanne Gluck of Fair Lawn, N.J., Mike and Fran Kanter of Flushing, N.Y., Jeff and Hayley Gluck of Ridgewood, N.J., Michael Primavera of Milford, and Rob and Karen Primavera of Shelton; his grandchildren, Neal and Tori Gluck, Matthew and Melissa Kanter, Daniel and Max Gluck, and Morgan Primavera. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Bob Howarth and several nieces and nephews.
