PROSPERITY, SC - Services for Sara G. Bishop, 73, of Prosperity, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2002, at Chapin Baptist Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Bishop will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 11, 2002, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Chapin Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bishop died Tuesday, July 9, 2002. Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late C.V. and Edith Sentell Golightly. She was a 1948 graduate of Easley High School.
Surviving is her husband, James Bishop; a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Ken Kelly, of Chapin; brothers, Howard Golightly of Charleston, Charlie Golightly of Easley, Robert Golightly of Greenville, and Richard Golightly of Franklinton, N.C.; sisters, Dorothy Ward of Easley, Venita Mauldin of Legrange, Ga., and Mary Foster of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Kenny, Kevin and Tyler Kelly; and a number of nieces and nephews.
