Marianna Apelkowski, 90, Wallace, Michigan, formerly of Michigan City passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 8:30 pm in Michigan City at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Halina and Philip Miziniak.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana Visitation will be from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm Sunday and Monday from 10:00 am till the time of service in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
She was born July 29, 1921 in Dobra, Poland to Peter & Marianna (Mach) Gomulka. In Chicago, Illinois she married Edmund Apelkowski, who preceded her on April 7, 1980. Surviving are Daughter, Halina (Philip) Miziniak of Michigan City, Indiana; 2 Grandsons, Philip (Kaye) Miziniak, II of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Edmund Miziniak of Chicago, Illinois; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Emily,Kathryn and Philip John Wallace Miziniak all of Iron Mountain, Michigan. She was preceded in death by 8 Brothers and Sisters
