Born in Caton, Lancashire to Robert Burnett Goodwin and Ada Parry Goodwin. Ada emigrated with her family in 1921 and settled in San Jose, California, where she spent many productive years working in the banking business and for the family. She was married to Ernest G. Amann on September 14, 1935.
Ada worked all her life and her family will forever remember her selflessness and dedication to her loved ones.
Ada and Ernest retired to Pioneertown, a small town North of Palm Springs in the High Desert. There she took the position of Assistant Postmistress and did volunteer work for various community services.
Ada lived in Santa Cruz with her nephew, Douglas Goodwin and his family, since leaving Pioneertown in the early 1990's. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Amann in 1977. She is survived by many nieces and nephews living throughout the country.
