Ida P. Bennett, 88, of Marks Rd., Cohocton, died Tuesday (Nov. 27, 1984) in Bethesda Hospital, North Hornell, following a long illness.

A native of Canadice, she had resided in the Dansville area for many years, moving to Cohocton 20 years ago. She was a former employe of the Blum Shoe Mfg. Co. in Dansville.

Surviving are a son, Aaron of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two daughters, Wanda Smith of Dansville and Thelma Blake of Groveland; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A service was conducted in the Walter E. Baird and Sons Funeral Home, Wayland, Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Duane Priset officiating. Burial was in Mount Vernon Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cohocton Fire Department. (GCE, December 6, 1984, p16)
