HAGUE -- It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, our nana, Barbara Jean Bennett, 77, at her home in Hague, N.Y., with her family on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010.

She was born May 11, 1932, in Poultney, Vt., one of 12 children, born to Earl and Mary (Peppler) Gould.

Barbara was predeceased by Eugene W. Bennett, her husband of 28 years, her sisters, Isabelle Thompkins, Nora Bushey, Florence Van Buren, June Reed, Pearl Ritchie, Marion Brailey, Mable Jeanette, and her two brothers, Richard (Dickie) Gould and Earl (Sonny) Gould.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.

Interment will take place in the spring at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 959 Route 9, Mount Royal Plaza, Queensbury, NY 12804; or your local A.S.P.C.A.
