The Saratogian newspaper, Thursday, December 23, 1915. Obituary. Mrs. Eugene A. Andrus.
Ann Gould, wife of Eugene A. Andrus, died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at her home, 29 Yates street, Schenectady. News of her death will grieve many Saratogians who had known her as an old and well known resident until seven years ago when she and her husband removed to Schenectady. She was born in Cooperstown, but had spent the greater part of her life in this city, where she had a wide circle of friends. She was a devoted wife and mother, loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, but for a number of years, owing to bodily ailments, was unable to take an active part in either church or social affairs. Mrs. Andrus is survived by her husband, a son, City Judge Charles B. Andrus of this city; a brother, Ellery Gould of Erie, Pa., and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Van Horn of Cooperstown. The body will be brought to this city, and funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence of her son, 181 Circular street. The Rev. George C. Douglass, pastor of the Free Methodist Episcopal church, is to officiate. The body will be placed in the receiving vault, pending interment in Greenridge cemetery.
