TOOELE - Funeral Services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the North Ward Chapel of he L.D.S. Church for Albert H. Gowans, 41, prominent citizen of Tooele City who died on Wednesday morning at a Salt Lake hospital of heart trouble. Mr. Gowans was well known in Tooele county.
Bishop John C. Bryan officiated. Opening prayer was offered by Alvin Walters. The following gave talks, John J. Gillette, Bishop Bryan and C. Alvan Orme. Closing prayer was offered by Ed M. Orme and interment was in the Tooele City Cemetery.
Mr. Gowans is survived by his widow, Mrs. Zella Spray Gowans and the following children: Wendell, Blaine, Sherman, Jack and Ruth; also the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. E H. Nelson, Mrs. Benjamin L. Bowen, Andrew and Alonzo Gowans of Tooele and George H. Gowans of Salt Lake.
