Dean Gragson, 84, was born on April 23, 1928 in Spur, Texas. After moving to Brawley, he attended local schools, graduating from Brawley Union High School in 1947.
One year after graduation, he married Patricia Lane Gragson on July 31, 1948 in Yuma, Arizona.
He worked in the auto parts industry for many years, beginning at Keith Womack and finishing his career as Parts Manager at Del Norte Chevrolet. He retired in 1987.
Dean enjoyed going to the desert and riding dune buggies and was a member of the I.V. Dune Buggy Association.
In his spare time, Dean enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his wife.
Dean passed away in Brawley, on October 14, 2012 from natural causes.
Dean is survived by his wife, Patricia Gragson, his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jerry Tucker of El Centro, and son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mitzi Gragson of El Centro. He is also survived by his grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Sarah Tucker, Jered and Jessica Tucker, Jorden and Lisa Tucker, Tara and Sean Ryan, Eric Gragson and 9 great-grandchildren. Dean also leaves his sister, Wandell Brown of Yuma, AZ.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 584 W. Main St. El Centro, CA or Between Women, 207 W. Legion Rd. Brawley, CA
