Barbara Craigie, his widow
who died on the 13th Decr 1815 aged 52
also of their grand daughter
Anna Maria Thatcher
who died on the 7th of August 1817
and their daughter
Arthur Whetham Hay
who died on the 6th January 1821
Sacred also to the memory of
Maria Hay
the beloved wife of Dr. Thatcher
Physician Edinr. An ornament to her sex
faithful to her god, she died with her
infant son in the act of childbirth on
the 23rd of July 1827 an event ever to be
regretted most sincerely to the deplored.
