BURT, Juanita, age 88 of Lakeland, FL, was born on January 22, 1924 in Itawomba County, Mississippi to David and Rada Graham.
Juanita passed away at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of kidney failure on November, 22, 2012.
She is survived by her two sons Clifford Burt of Decatur, GA and David Burt of Tampa, FL and her grandsons David Burt, Jr. of Ft.Lauderdale, FL and Alex Burt of Orlando, FL.
Juanita graduated from the University of North Alabama and also held a Master's Degree in English literature from the University of South Florida.
Juanita taught school in the Polk County school system for 42 years teaching at John Cox and Cleveland Court Elementary schools and also Lakeland Senior High School.
She was active in the ADK Teachers sorority for many years and served as a chapter president.
A viewing will be held Monday, November 26 from 5-7 p.m. at the Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Ave., Lakeland and a funeral service will be conducted at the First Presbyterian Church, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland, FL on Tuesday, November 27 at 10 a.m. followed by a reception in the church social hall and a graveside ceremony at Oak Hill Burial Park, U.S. 98 in Lakeland.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Chapel Restoration Fund of Florida Presbyterian Homes, 6 Lake Hunter Drive, Lakeland, FL 33803.
