"CONKLINGVILLE.

March 9. -- The funeral of Mrs. Fanny Daniels, who died on February 29, was held at Day Center on the following Wednesday, the Rev. A. G. Utter officiating. Interment was made in the Day Center cemetery."

"Day.

March 9. -- The funeral of Mrs. Fanny Daniels, who died at Conklingville, was conducted from the Presbyterian church at this place on Wednesday of last week. The Rev. Mr. Weston, of Luzerne, officiated. The deceased was 88 years of age and was one of the early settlers of the town. She and her husband, Amhearst Daniels, were pioneers in the wooden-ware industry of the town. In the early '70's they occupied a small shop a few miles from this place, where they turned out wooden howls and marketed them among the farmers along the valley. They reared a family of fifteen children, thirteen of whom are now living."
