ROGERSVILLE-Orilla Grant Cooke, age 84, Rogersville died Wednesday, September 15, 2004.
She was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church, Church Hill.
She was born in Black Star, KY on April 18, 1920.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Crecie Grant and husband, Warren Calvin Cooke.
She is survived by daughters, Frances E. Stanley and husband, Kerry, Piney Flats, Virginia S. Eaton and husband, Jim, Kingsport, Patricia E. Ball and husband, Roger, Bristol, VA, Charlotte A. Shelton and husband, Warren, Corbin, KY, Vicki L. Mullins and husband, Glen, Rogersville and Cheryl R. Davis and husband, Mark, Conway, SC; sons, Charles T. Cooke and wife, Carol, Barbourville, Warren C. Cooke, Jr. and wife, Vicky, James A. Cooke and wife, Debbie and Richard G. Cooke, all of Rogersville; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren; sisters, Billie Sauer and husband, Paul, Hamilton, OH and Joanne Morris, Lexington, KY and brother, Johnny Grant, Brooklyn, CT.
Funeral service was conducted Saturday, September 18, 2004 in the Broome Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Roger Ball, David Barnard and Rick Vannoy officiating. Burial followed in Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville was in charge of arrangements.
