Sarah Margaret Grant (Maggie) was born 21 August 1894 in Campbell County and died 27 April 1944 in LaFollette, Tennessee. She married William Paris Cooper on 2 April 1911 in Campbell County. He was born 1 January 1888 in Campbell County and died 20 August 1965 in Campbell County. He is buried at Grantsboro Baptist.

William Paris Cooper registered for the WWI Draft with his brother Delius on 5 June 1917 in Lafollette, was born 1 January 1888, was 28 years old at the time, married with three children, farmed, was of medium height and build and had brown hair and gray eyes (#79)

The 1910 Campbell County census, District 40, sheet 12B, household #210 lists James B. Cooper 55, Kattie 54, Paris W. 21, Delas 18, and Thomas E. Dagley 6 (nephew) Jas B. Cooper married Katie Dagley on 7 September 1876 in Campbell County.

The Death Certificate (#249) for James B. Cooper states that he was born circa 1855 and died of Tuberculosis at the age of fifty nine years on 13 December 1914 in Campbell County. He was married and buried at Murraysville Cemetery according to informant, Thomas Cooper, who did not list parentage.

According to her death certificate (#7298) and informant Kermitt Cooper, Maggie died from appendicitis/ruptured appendix and was buried in Grantsboro.

The 1920 Campbell County, Tennessee census, sheet 7 lists William P. Cooper 29, Maggie 25, Kermitt 7, Lawrence C. 5, Phillis L. 3 1/12, and James P. 1 1/12.

The 1930 Campbell County, Tennessee census, family #5, sheet 1A lists Parris Cooper 41, Maggie 37, Kermitt 17, Clifford 15, Pyllis 13, James 11, Vaughn 9, Rosco 6, Delsia 4, Raymond 2, and Ruth 2.

The 1940 Campbell County, Tennessee census, family #10, sheet 1B lists Paris Cooper 51, Maggie 46, Clifford 26, Phillis 23, James 21, Van 19, Roscoe 16, Delsa Fay 14, Raymond 12, Ruth 12, Billie 8, and Donald 4. Raymond Cooper, Randy Cooper’s uncle, just passed away on Sunday in Lafollette on 17 November 2013

The dark haired little girl holding the doll is my Grandmother Maggie Grant Cooper, who died long before I was born. The light haired girl is Aunt Marilee who also married a Cooper, my Uncle Dee. I remember her well as an old lady with a young girl's personality-From Randy Cooper, kin to me, Joe Mode, through common ancestor Rufus Grant-November 2013
