Mr. Bellew was born in Saucier, MS and had been a life long resident of the Gulf Coast. He attended First Baptist Church of Long Beach and was retired from the City of Long Beach.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Bellew, father, Preston Bellew, two brothers, R.J. Bellew and Valley Bellew.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Veda Bellew, daughters, Sherril Witt and Linda Rodriguez of Calhoun, GA, Sue Edwards of Long Beach, Theresa Coates of Saucier, an only son, John Bellew of Long Beach, a sister, Euna V. Brown of Biloxi; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
