ROBERTA - James T. Green, 68, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in a local hospital.

Services will be held Friday, May 16, 2003 at 2:00PM at Roberta United Methodist Church. The Reverends Joe Romigh and Bobby Hamlin will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Roberta United Methodist Church, Roberta, GA or to "Jimmy's House", c/o Macon Bibb Fire Department, 1191 First Street, Macon, GA 31201.

Mr. Green was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church and the Crusaders' Sunday School Class and was a former member of the Administrative Board.

He was a retired Captain of the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department and a retired farmer. Mr. Green was a former Supervisor of the Ocmulgee Soil and Water Conservation District, a board member of the Department of Family and Children Services of Crawford County and a charter member of the Rutland Lions' Club.

Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth Ann Green of Roberta, GA; Children, Thomas M. and Virginia Green of Fort Valley, Teresa A. and Jack Prue of Roberta, James E. and Cathy Green of Acworth; Grandchildren, Bright B. Carter, Emily B. Bourne, Ja Prue, Chet Prue, Madison Green and Kinsey Green; Brothers, Harry J. Green of Byron, Wilburn Green of Apopka, FL, Allan K. Green of Gray and M. A. Green, Jr. of Macon; Sisters, Zelma Byrd of Lizella, Myrtie Nipper of Byron and Esther Bishop of Byron; Mother-in-law, Ora L. Marshall of Lizella.
