The Chatham County native was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Church of God and the widow of Bernice Barnard.
SURVIVORS: two sons, Leroy Smith of Ft. McCoy, Fla., and Daylon Barnard of Guyton; five daughters, Belinda Watkins of Metter, Gale Barnard of Nevils, Judy Cannon of Davis, Okla., Myra Lewis and Shelia Rash, both of Sylvania; a brother, William Green of Tennille; two sisters, Hilda Smith of Edgewater, Fla., and Sybil Altman of Jacksonville, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Church of God, burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Daisy.
