James H. Gregg, 80, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born in Roscoe, Jan. 5, 1930, he was a son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Culler) Gregg. James was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. as a recorder. He loved hunting, and enjoyed flying when he was young. He also liked to travel. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Evich) Gregg; son, William J. (Andrea) Gregg, of Baldwin; daughter, Lesley A. (Andrew) Kubasiak, of Monessen; three grandchildren, Gregg Kubasiak, Lauren Gregg and Aaron Kubasiak; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two infant children, Christine and Michael; a brother, Curtis Gregg; and two sisters, Florence Adams and Mary E. Norris. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township, (724-929-7934), where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
