Mrs. Ella Binns Burd , 45, wife of Paul E.Burd of 109 Broadway, Brownsville, died at her home at 9:30 p.m. yesterday. Death resulted from a leakage of the heart with which she had been suffering for the last six years.
A daughter of C. W. and Mary Jane Gregg, she was born in West Brownsville, March 23, 1885. She was schooled and reared in the Brownsvilles and except for residing in Morgantown for a time, she had lived there for the remaining years of her life.
Mrs. Burd. was one of the best known residents of the Brownsvilles. She was a member of the First M. E. church and the O. B. A. class of the church.
She leaves her husband, Paul K. Burd; three children, Fern. Ruth Ann and Paul Edgar, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Gregg of Thornton; and three brothers and two sisters; Harry Gregg of Thornton; Aubrey Gregg of Brownsville; Flint Gregg of Beacon Hill, Brownsville; Mrs. Marie Vanderbilt of South Brownsville and Mrs. Jean Gelder of Thornton.
Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p. m. at the home in Brownsville in charge of the Rev. John W. Hall, pastor of the First M. E. church. Interment will be in Bridgeport cemetery. (The Charleroi Mail - 11-13-1930)
