"Virginia Baker, 87, of the Newstead Road died at 9:28 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at her residence.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Phillip Brumfield officiating. There will be no visitation. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Princeton, KY she was born October 27, 1929 the daughter of the late Charles Morgan Gregory and Gertie Whitson Gregory. She was retired Civil Service. She was a member of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Stanley Baker, who died in 2008.
Survivors include her daughters: Sarah Baker Reid (Don) of Warrior, AL and Melissa Baker Sanders of Newark, OH; her sons: Michael Stanley Baker (Donna) of Clarksville, TN and Greg Baker (Laura) of Crofton; a sister: Wilma Baker Petty of Hopkinsville, KY; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
