The Last Sad Rites
Funeral Of Mrs. Samuel Potter Held Thursday Afternoon From Grace Church

"The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Potter, late wife of Samuel Potter, the well known capitalist of Alhambra Valley was held from the Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon.

The services were conducted by the Rev. Earle of Red Bluff, who was specially sent for. They were very impressive.

In spite of the inclemency of the weather there were many who turned out to pay their respects to one they honored and loved during her lifetime.

The floral tribute were many and beautiful. Many handsome pieces were received from San Francisco the day of the funeral.

Mrs. Potter's sickness was of short duration. At first it was thought that she was suffering from a bad cold. The disease developed very suddenly.

Her death is a great blow to her husband and her family. Deceased was married to Mr. Potter about four years ago. Besides a husband, and a daughter and her relatives , she leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss."
