Roberta C. Griner Boswell, 60, of Troy died Monday, May 4, 2009 at her home in Troy from natural causes.
She was born May 12, 1948 in Renton, Wash., to Robert and Bessie Hines Griner. She attended school in Libby and graduated with the class of 1966. She then attended a year of college in Havre.
She married Tyler Boswell in Gillette, Wyo. In 1970, they moved to Troy. Mrs. Boswell owned A Beauty Stoppe in Troy from the late 1970s until 1998. She also sold antiques and did upholstery work at B&E Enterprises with her partner and friend, Earlene Jellesed.
Mrs. Boswell moved to Washington where she bought and sold antiques and worked in retail. In 2004 she moved to Bend, Ore., and in 2008, she returned to Troy.
Survivors include her children, Brenda Goe and husband Kevin of Troy; T.J. Boswell and wife Nicole of Troy; brother, Arnold Griner of Libby, MT; sister Carol Griner of Libby; five grandchildren, Taylor, Allie, Malia, Michael and Max.
Services will be Friday, May 8 at 3 p.m. at the Troy Community Baptist Church. Visitation was scheduled for Thursday, May 7 from 1-8 p.m. at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
